Ferryman Fishing is an alternative controller experience. I collaborated with a team of 18 to create a one of a kind experience at Bradley’s FUSE Exhibition 2024. In this experience, the player uses a fishing rod controller to cast and reel fish.
Ferryman Fishing is an alternative controller experience. Utilizing a fishing rod as the controller, I collaborated with a team of 18 to create a one of a kind experience at Bradley’s FUSE Exhibition 2024. In this experience, the player casts a fishing rod and then reels in a fish until they catch it.
I worked on the digital programming team to create the flow of game states, namely the casting, reeling, and catching states, and all of the input functionality needed for those states. I then integrated this work with the Arduino library created by the physical programming team to detect the input from the controller they built and send information back and forth to the Raspberry Pi.
After beta, I worked on polishing already implemented features such as tweaking UI and Sound elements in the pre-existing system, as well as creating a progress bar to increase player feedback.
